EKA, a family run business, has been manufacturing top quality Bass Strings for many years, for early Clavichords, Harpsichords, Square Pianos and Fortepianos as well as all Bass Strings for pianos up to the present day.
Being very unhappy with the standard of string manufacturing generally, we decided to start from first principles and work out a way of making excellant strings with a beautiful tone and perfect neat fit. This involved working for many months with an advanced engineering company to produce our own unique electronic machine.
